Altre...non ci credo, sono sbalordito, ma che hai la fabbricha?
No, caro amico mio, io non ho la fabrica. Io solo investito tutta la vitta nelle Tartarughe, e addesso penso che ho sbagliato.
Explanation: I started long time ago with our domestic Hermann's, after that with Greek's, Marginated and Indian Stars, then, included other species, too. I was in position to provide different species, because the leggislation in my country was very simple, and the only Veterinary aspects were of great importance.
Then, after we become member of Washington Convence, few very educated and very honest people started to work in CITES department. Both of them, i.e. Ministry of Agriculture and Direction of Nature Protection were interested to help me in Tortoises breed, and they permitted to me, to build big farm with capacity of up to 400 heads of Hermann's Tortoises in total. With this quantity of Tortoises, I was sure in good and safe future life of my animals, and my family, too. I was able to sell all offsprings to Far East countries very easy, and these financial injections could protect us forever.
Unfortunately, this story was of very short life. After new elections in my country everything changed. We have got new people in Ministry of Agriculture and Direction of Nature Protection, and everything crashed completely. No chance to enlarge my current bred, than to reduce it significatory. No chance to get export-permits easy, or to get export-permits at all. Then, checking on my farm frequently, asking for new conditions, "necessary changes", etc...
From these reasons, I am thinking, I made great mistake to invest the whole life in Turtles and Tortoises, Sir....
Yours truly, Marco
