Cari amici Italiani,
sono stato molto ocupato in due giorni passati, senza tempo libero da trasferire piu fotto e informazioni. Penso, che domani avevo piu tempo da fare cosi!
Saluti sinceri da Marco
P.S. Excuse me in bad italian language of mine. Ten years ago, I was in position to speak your beautifull language much more (mia madre aveva visutto in Italia a questo tempo), but now I am not so good in it. Anyway, you can always write to me in your own language, I will understood everything well.

Perlare di sottospecie mi sembra davvero eccessivo...io parlerei più di un semplice endemismo.
Per il resto, la parola al DNA.

I'd go for separation at subspecies level!
A wonderful group, really... Did you succeed in breeding them? We often talk about kleinmanni here because they seem to be a particularly nasty species when it comes to breeding...

Cheers

Yes, of course, dear Sir, I am breeding Egyptian Tortoises well for few past years. No problem in it, it is only important to have adequate climate conditions (weather conditions) and suitable food. On the other side, I still have not got possitive success with Nagev Tortoises (T. werneri, or T. kleinmanni werneri), due I am having the only pair of adult animals, plus 5 heads of medium size ones. Anyway, I hope to provide some adult heads more next year, and also, I am expecting the first clutch of adult female next year, too! You will be informed in time surely!
Yours truly, Marco

Cordiali salutti, Marco

Dear Friend,
As I already wrote to one other friend in Italy, I am having good breeding success with Egyptian Tortoises (T. kleinmanni kleinmanni) for few past year, and I am fully satisfie. I am having no problem in this species. It is only necessary to have good weather (climate) condition inside of Terrarium (very low humidity, and controled temperature), as well as suitable food. Then, no problem with them at all. They are very strong, beautifull small animals.
On the other side, I am still having not breeding success with Nagev Tortoises (T. kleinmanni werneri), due of 7 heads on my stock only, and only 1 pair of adult ones. Anyway, I am expecting first clutch of adult female next year, and also - I will do my best to provide few adult heads more, to have right breeding stock of this species finaly. Then, we will see what will hapen. You will be informed surely!
Warmest regards, Marco

Wonderful!
And I'm especially glad to hear that you breed them: I know others wont't agree, but I'm strongly convinced that the future of several species is in the hand of privates now, and this is most true for the kleinmanni.

All the Best, and Cheers!

Yes, of course, dear Sir,
I will give all necessary informations to you with no limit. It is not so difficult to bred this species as it appearing in first view. It is only necessary to take reason in two important conditions:
- good microclimate of their keeping inside, becuase it is possible to keep them outside for very short period of time; and
- adequate, i.e. suitable food for them, evitating high protein livel very carefully.
I will send the details of my bred of this species in teh following few days surely, and you will know much more about it!
P.S. I am keeping Nagev Tortoises (werneri) in the totaly same conditions like all Egyptians of mine, still with no breeding success. But, I already explain, it is not the reason of particular difficulty to bred this species, than of small breeding stock of mine (7 heads in total, the only 1 pair of fully adult ones)!
Warmest regards, Marco
