by the way, i didn't know that there are different localities for the Phrynops!
Afro, do you have any photo of the adult to make a comparison and to see how much differences are marked?

Since Phrynops geoffroanus and Phrynops tuberosus have a vast area of distribution and even scientist often confuse those species, there are still some undescribd forms out there. For example the "tocantins form" from the TerraLog book by Holger Vetter. After Christmas I can take some pics of the adult Guyana-tuberosus for comparison.



Poiché Phrynops geoffroanus e Phrynops tuberosus hanno un vasto areale di distribuzione, e perfino gli zoologi spesso confondono queste specie, ci sono ancora alcune forme non descritte. Per esempio la "forma tocantins" descritta da Holger Vetter. Dopo Natale farò alcune foto degli adulti di Guyana-tuberosus per comparazione.
